San Francisco Symphony Gives West Coast Premiere of 'Something for the Dark'

Sarah’s 12-minute portrait of resilience, Something for the Dark, originally commissioned by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in 2014, received its West Coast premiere May 9-11 with the San Francisco Symphony, under the baton of Maestro James Gaffigan, at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, CA. The program, which was put together suddenly after Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas unexpectedly took ill, also featured music by Ligeti, Saint-Saens, and Debussy.
